Random freezes on hybrid AMD/NVIDIA laptop

What's wrong?

I’m getting random lag/freezes on my ASUS TUF A15 with hybrid graphics (AMD iGPU + NVIDIA RTX 4060). The system usually feels smooth, but every now and then there’s a short freeze where the cursor stops, input doesn’t respond, or apps take a couple of seconds to open. After the freeze, everything suddenly catches up.

This happens in terminals, editors (like Neovim/VS Code), browsers, and sometimes even when launching simple apps. I didn’t have this issue when running normal Arch + Hyprland on the same hardware.

it happened to me too while trying to update omarchy and now i have to reinstall the system
