Using Warp terminal as default

I am trying to use https://www.warp.dev/ as my daily driver for my terminal, when looking through the manual I only see that the three options for terminals can be made default. Is there a way to change this? I can use it currently be going through its directory and using the executable to run it but this is not optimal for obvious reasons.

You probably figured this out by now but heres a guide just in case.

Open the Omarchy Menu
Press the SUPER + ALT + SPACE keys to open the Omarchy menu (Walker).

Navigate to Default Settings
Go to Setup > Defaults. This action will open the configuration file that controls default applications.

Edit the Terminal Preference File
The command in Omarchy to manually edit the terminal preference file is typically sudo nvim ~/.config/xdg-terminals.list.

Find your Warp terminal's desktop file name by listing the application files: ls /usr/share/applications/.
Add the desktop file name for Warp at the top of the ~/.config/xdg-terminals.list file. The first entry in the list gets priority.

For example, your file might look like this:
dev.warp.Warp.desktop
com.mitchellh.ghostty.desktop
alacritty.desktop

(Note: the exact Warp desktop file name may vary, use the ls command to confirm).

Save and Relaunch
Save your changes and exit the editor. You then need to relaunch Hyprland (Omarchy's window manager) for the changes to take effect by pressing SUPER + ESC.

Verify the Change
Press SUPER + RETURN to open a new terminal instance; it should now open in Warp.

For the record I would not recommend doing this though. While it does make warp your default terminal it breaks other things within Omarchy, that expect a more traditional terminal to be set as default.
