Keyboard Not Registering Keystrokes in VirtualBox

Intel i7 14700HX, RTX 4060, Omarchy Latest ISO

What's wrong?

When i install Omarchy in a virtual machine, be it in VirtualBox or VMWare, it does not register keystrokes.

The ISO i used was the 7GB offline installer.

Can you provide more information? Are you saying in the install section? Where you need to write your username, etc? Or when it finishes installing and you login?

Sorry, I didn't mention.
After I completely install the system, it does not register keystrokes.
I tried running omarchy in KVM, and there it works perfectly fine, on a linux host.
But the issue appears in VirtualBox and VMWare on a windows host.

From my experience, it works fine when installed on, for example, gnome boxes on a linux host. When installing on a windows host in VMWare or Virtualbox, it doesn't register the super key. I can go to another VT with alt F3 and to things there. It is just the super key. I don't know if walker makes use of the terminal, but maybe it's an alacritty/ghostty thing then.

I have the same problem. After installing on VMware and VirtualBox, some shortcut keys related to the super key do not work.

The following buttons are functional

Ctrl alt f3 can switch to other tty
super e
super w
super b

The following buttons do not work

super enter
super space
super alt space

I have the same problem. After installing on VMware and VirtualBox, some shortcut keys related to the super key do not work.

I also have the exact same problem. Even installation on windows host takes an hour compared to just 2 minutes in KVM.

I don't know where I found it, but when installed on windows in VMWare (or Virtualbox) and not all super keycombo's work:

CTRL + ALT + F2 (so you go to a console
edit ~/.config/hypr/envs.conf
add the following line:

env = LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE, 1

and then reboot.
