Generate onnx.mlir

Hello,
I would like to ask a question. Is this project only capable of generating an onnx.mlir file from onnx? If not, could it be because I haven't linked to LLVM?

We use it to generate binary at IBM, using the onnx-mlir -EmitLib option (which is also default). Others use it to generate mlir files of a different dialect, e.g. TOSA.

Other than .onnx file, this project takes any .mlir file as long as this file contains only a limited pre-selected dialects. Conversions defined in the project may have assumptions on valid input dialect and ops, and the main driver of this project contains the lowering of only certain dialects.
