How can i install my .face extension watchface file on my mi band 9 device ?

Hi, I made a watchface and now I want to upload it to my Mi Band 9, but the official Mi Fitness app doesn't support it. I tried Zepp/Zepp Life, but they don't support it either. Then I found Notify. Notify forced me to log into my Mi Account to connect my device, but it doesn't use social authentication the app directly asks for my email and password. I don't want to give my Mi Account credentials to any third-party app. How can I upload and use this watchface on my band without doing that?

Your best option is to apply for m0tral's modded Mi Fitness servers by following the instructions in https://ooflet.github.io/docs/quickstart/testing/.

Notify needs you to login to Mi Fitness because it fetches the device's auth key from Mi Fitness' servers directly. Usually, you can just simply fetch this key from Mi Fitness' logs but it's not always there. From my experience the notify app is a bit crap, because it hijacks the connection off from Mi Fitness. Everything needs to go through the Notify app, and its a bit of a hassle.

The m0tral servers allow you to host and sell watchfaces. However he can be a bit hard to reach when applying to join the development servers. Other than that its really smooth to upload and publish watchfaces.
