Is there a way to add pinyin to the original text?

Hi, first all, thank you so much for making this! This helps me a lot in learning Mandarin.

I was wondering if there is an option during translation, to make the original text appear with pinyin in the final file. I have attached an example image below of what I mean.

If possible, I would like to have the final file with option 2 for the original text. If that is not possible, option 1 would be great as well.

Could you let me know if this is possible?

Thanks for the suggestion. I do not plan to support this in epub-translator itself, so this issue is not something I’m going to implement as a built-in feature.

If this is only for your own reading, you could try a workaround instead: generate the EPUB as usual, then replace/embed the Chinese font with a pinyin-enabled font and see whether your reader renders it the way you want. An online tool you can try is https://e-booka.online/ . I have not tested this workflow myself, so compatibility will depend on the font and the reader, and some characters with multiple pronunciations may still be imperfect.

Understandable, I didn't realize that there were pinyin enabled fonts, that sounds like what I am looking for. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
