With the recent clean-ups of the actor system some of the docs have gone out of sync with the implementation. Note this can only happen because they are not within reach of rustdoc.

In this issue we update the code snippets and symbols used in the text to match the codebase.

Here is an example to get started, but in general we should go through the whole folder.
