Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Giovanni Govert. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business and gaining work experience, I realized that what I enjoyed most was working with data. That experience inspired me to transition into the computer and data field, where I can combine my business background with technical skills to uncover insights and create impact. I’m currently based in Austin, Texas, and I’m excited to keep growing in this space while contributing to meaningful data projects.

What I know

I already have experience in data cleaning and exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python and SQL, as well as applying machine learning techniques in both supervised and unsupervised settings. I also enjoy creating data visualizations; currently I use Looker Studio and Power BI, with some working knowledge of Tableau. In addition, I hold the AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification, which has given me a solid foundation in cloud services.

What I want to know

I’m really interested in expanding my skills in data engineering, particularly in building ETL/ELT pipelines that can automate data cleaning, transformation, and integration. I want to gain hands-on experience with orchestrating workflows using tools like Apache Airflow and dbt, as well as working with modern data processing frameworks such as Spark and storage/analysis tools like Polars.
