Cloning the repo using https creates a couple of errors. The guide needs to specify using ssh strictly for cloning. First timers in the repo may need more information on adding a ssh key and using ssh to clone the repository.

I was not aware that this issue was raised before PR #5303 and you specifically asked that if we accept the issue you want to resolve it. I apologize. As discussed in the PR, I do not see any issue with using HTTPs, can you (@taylorhelene) elaborate on what errors you are seeing and why you think this situation will improve using SSH?

I tried to clone the repo using https. I got the following error.

The following solutions were taken into account:

1. Increasing file limit
2. Checking and changing internet speed
3. Changing from HTTPs 2 to 1 then back
4. Changing to SSH

The only solution that worked was SSH. I wanted to add to the documentation the procedure for setting up the SSH keys, adding it to GitHub then continuing to clone using SSH.

I never saw that issue before, thanks for sharing. Can you share your curl and git version with me as well?

Are you using a VPN, or is your HTTP traffic flowing through some proxy?

I am just trying to narrow done what the root cause of this may be, so we can provide that as help
