RSS feed reposts articles on modification

What happened?

We have a Slack bot posting blog articles from the RSS feed (https://opentelemetry.io/blog/index.xml), but it has recently been reposting old articles. Looking at the feed file, the "pubDate" seems to correspond to the date of the latest commit modifying the articles rather than the actual publication date. It looks like any a posteriori modification of an article is interpreted as a new publication.

Yes, that was by design. IIRC, I couldn't get the Publication Date to work consistently for all updated pages when the RSS feed was generated. I can take another look. WDYT @open-telemetry/docs-maintainers?

Another reason for us to not edit blog posts ;-)

It seems to be a common use case for our RSS feed to build automation and have blog post pushed to a slack channel (@danielgblanco suggested that we do the same for otel slack), so fixing that would indeed be necessary

I don't think it's unreasonable to make small edits for typos, but that should probably be reflected in a <lastBuildDate> element, while <pubDate> should probably reflect the date in the front matter
