Currently Open5e lacks an image database, our principle is to be unopinionated, providing ourselves as a library for 5th Edition content. Our main exception is the artwork on the website, this is supposed to empower the DM and the players. To motivate their actions more through gameplay. There have been discussions on using diffusion based generated images before, due to the current controversies that come with it, including ethics and copyright, we want to take our distance from diffusion based generated images for now. The current solution is to use Miguel Zavala's library of 3D models along with toon shaders to give the style of the 1st and 2nd edition of Dungeons and Dragons. We choose for Miguel's work because there is a stylistic consistency behind it and a bulk of it too.
