Description
A while ago, Richard B suggested on a ML that the GPL may not be the ideal license for this content.
Which is true. And also a misunderstanding, because we use multiple licenses on this page:
- homepage/archive page - GPL 3.0, inherited from https://github.com/openSUSE/jekyll-theme
/documentation/leap/*- GFDL 1.2. inherited from https://github.com/SUSE/doc-sleprojects/libyui/HEAD/*- oldlibyuistuff - not actually listed directly, but it's Docxygen-generated, so probably the same as the libyui repo.- currently the repo is licensed LGPL 2.1/LGPL 3.0/GPL 3.0
- old trees don't have any license info, https://github.com/libyui/libyui/tree/Code-11-SP1/libyui-ncurses
/projects/libzypp/HEAD/- oldlibzyppstuff - also generated by Docxygen, and marked GPL 2.- there may be some more old stuff still hosted here that is not actually linked from anywhere which should just be removed ultimately.
I am wondering if we can:
-
simplify that a bit
-
use more appropriate licenses
