Proposal: Property to showcase inclusive sessions #302

@oliversisman

Description

@oliversisman

If you are filing a proposed change, e.g. a new property or revised definition, then please fill in the below template.
If you are filing a bug, then delete this text and provide a clear description of the issue.

Proposer

  • Oliver Sisman (London Sport) - on behalf of conversations between Out for Sport (https://outforsport.com/) and a relationship manager at London Sport

Use Case

  • As an activity provider/facility provider, I would like to let all potential participants know that our sessions/facilities are open to all and particularly welcome those people for the LGBTQ+ community
  • As a potential participant I would like to know that the session is hosted by an LGBTQ+ group

Why is this not covered by existing properties?

  • Whilst this could be added in the description of an activity, this means participant would need to read through all descriptions to see this. As a standalone property (a Boolean?), a yes could be then pulled through and displayed by the activity finder as a rainbow flag or similar indicator of inclusiveness.

Please provide a link to example data

The below websites, whilst not using OpenActive data currently, are sites that make it clear that the groups are LGBTQ+

Proposal

  • Is LGBTQ+ host group

Please provide a name and a clear definition for each property. Please indicate what the values of the property might be,

Example

  • On any activity finder, a potential participant would see a rainbow flag (or similar?) which would give them the confidence to know the session/facility is for them. Activity finders could also make this into a filter feature if there became enough data/traffic searching for this specifically.
