iOS fullscreen rendering issue in custom UI (works on Android & Web)

I have a search carousel view that renders correctly. However, when I click an item and navigate to a fullscreen detail view, the fullscreen view renders blank on iOS (see the image attached). When leaving the fullscreen view, the original carousel disappears.

This behavior only occurs on iOS. Android and Web work as expected.

Has anyone encountered a similar fullscreen rendering issue on iOS or has tips for debugging this kind of behavior?

Nope, but all of a sudden full screen mode just stopped working on all my devices. It just shows the inline mode despite asking for full screen
