In many cases, it's silly to emphasize the country of origin of the paper (e.g. Al Jazeera). What we could do (but would entail a lot of re-organization) is to have an "INT" code, and put media, corporations, societies, human rights groups, international NGOs, etc. under that. That would also allow us to still differentiate between local media (which would have its country code) and international media. Food for thought–this would be a long-term change.
