How to specify the CRS of a GeoSPARQL geometry?

Could the CRS ontology complement the GeoSPARQL ontology by defining a way to specify the CRS of a geo:Geometry? At the moment, GeoSPARQL has no way to specify the CRS of a geo:Geometry, but I would like to have a way to select geometries by CRS.

We could discuss it, but I would rather think it should be a property included within GeoSPARQL and not one included in the CRS ontology, especially since the geo:inSRS property is one part of the next GeoSPARQL version.

@situx: thanks, I did not know inSRS was making a comeback in GeoSPARQL. Is it certain that it will be in GeoSPARQL 1.3, and that its range will be an IRI?

I agree with @situx, this needs new predicates on the side of GeoSPARQL. Whether that is at the level of literal geometry, feature or collection is a debate that must be had in the GeoSPARQL context.

Yes it was never not considered for addition. It was merely postponed because we were not clear about the precedence of in-literal CRS definitions vs. geo:inSRS. So right now it is on track for 1.3 with range IRI. We did not discuss whether we will add a SHACL shape restricting this e.g. to sth. Which is the subclass of some concept in the SRS ontology. I think we do not need to though.
