What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?
I love the simplicity of managing tracks from the Pie Menu.
Setup Tracking - Option 2
However, it doesn't favour another great feature: multi layer tracking:
"You can simultaneously record multiple tracking sessions across several layers"
Once one layer's tracking is active, if Option 2 is intended to be used for starting tracking on a secondary layer, the only option is to "stop all [tracking]"
There should be an alternative button to "stop all" that facilitates "add tracking" if there are active tracks, which simply brings up the setup track dialog.
If tracking is active in more than two layers, a third button could show a dialog with all layers where tracking is active, and a "stop tracking" for each of those.
Alternatively, could the badge be left visible on each layer, so users can tap on badge to toggle tracking, (though more prone to tapping on the wrong layer accidentally?) or under an ellipses menu on each layer (as a visual prompt for user to find the right button)
Steps to reproduce the issue
Follow steps in option 2 (to start tracking on one layer)
Setup Tracking - Option 2
Then follow them again to see that the only option at the moment is "Stop all"
Version
4.2.4
Operating system name
Android
Operating system version
17
Reinstall QField
Additional context
This is a high point of friction, multiple steps to setup tracking and remembering the 'secret' long-tap seems to give users trouble.
The 'tap on self' for a pie menu is highly intuitive.
