I’ll look to add support. From my Quick Look of the changes from V7 to V8 it looks small, but significant as they restructured some part of the API. I need to have a think about how to manage this while retaining support for the older versions. As I’m travelling a lot at the moment it may be a few weeks before I get to look at this and test it...

I just ran into this, for what it's worth. I'm having to pivot to zigbee2mqtt as I'm not willing to install firmware on my coordinator that's older than the version it ships with. (It's a HomSeer Z-Net Pro for the record and comes with EZSP v14 according to the error in the log).

Support is being added for EZSP14, but it’s also perfectly fine to use an older version - you won’t notice any difference. EZSP14 has a significant change to the protocol.
