DSC14 Micro Motor Controller

This describes the Z-Wave device DSC14, manufactured by AEON Labs with the thing type UID of aeon_dsc14_00_000.

The device is in the category of Blinds, defining Roller shutters, window blinds, etc..

The DSC14 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

The Aeon Labs Micro Motor Controller is a Motor Control Class C Specific Device which is connected with window rail to remote control curtain to any position that you want directly.

Switch

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary channel is of type switch_binary and supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Blinds Control

Provides start / stop control of blinds.

The blinds_control channel is of type blinds_control and supports the Rollershutter item and is in the Blinds category.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 12 configuration parameters available in the DSC14. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Parameter 1: Type of Sensor Report

The following option values may be configured -:

Value Description
0 Power
1 Voltage

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (Power).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_1_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 2: Blinking Behavior

Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_2_2 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 80: Notification on Status Change

The following option values may be configured -:

0 Nothing
1 Hail
2 Basic CC Report

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (Nothing).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_80_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 90: Disable automated reporting

Disables automated sending of a Report triggered by minimum value. Disables Function of automated sending of a Report triggered by minimal change of value. The following option values may be configured -:

0 Disabled
1 Enabled

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (Disabled).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_90_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 91: Minimum Change to send Report (Watt)

Values in the range 0 to 32000 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 50.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_91_2 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 92: Minimum Change to send Report (%)

Values in the range 0 to 100 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 10.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_92_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 101: reports to send automatically

Bitmask of Group 1 reports The value is a combination number made up of the sum of the values for the individual parameters. The parameters have the values:

  • Wattage=4
  • Current=2
  • Voltage=1 Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 4.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_101_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 102: Which reports to send automatically to group 2

Bitmask of Group 2 reports The value is a combination number made up of the sum of the values for the individual parameters. The parameters have the values:

  • Wattage=4
  • Current=2
  • Voltage=1 Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 4.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_102_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 103: Bitmask of Group 3 reports

Which reports to send automatically to group 3 The value is a combination number made up of the sum of the values for the individual parameters. The parameters have the values:

  • Wattage=4
  • Current=2
  • Voltage=1 Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 4.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_103_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 111: Interval to send out reports of group 1

Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 720.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_111_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 112: Interval to send out reports of group 2

Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 720.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_112_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 113: Interval to send out reports of group 3

Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 720.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_113_4 and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The DSC14 supports 1 association group.
