AppAuth-Android does not support "urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob" based redirects. Only custom schemes and app links work. Since it appears that you are using Google, use a custom scheme based redirect. This is actually what you have configured on the redirect activity, but your custom scheme "com.pi.pilot.gallery" will not work with the Android client ID you have configured. Instead, use "com.googleusercontent.apps.862009479288-jbb6ei7ill6bk5lpda39mvqoc0psg29o", based on the client ID you are using.

here is my lastest situation
0.when i Create OAuth client ID at console ，which type should i choose?

1. when i Create OAuth client ID at console, if i choose the type android ,I can't set redirecturi in my own,
   it create autoly , "http://localhost" and "urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob"
   if i use "urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob" i never get back , if i use "http://localhost" ,it worked ,but this way it cant differ my app from others。

2.when i Create OAuth client ID at console, if i choose the type webapplication，i can set redirecturi like
"http://com.pi.pilot.gallery/google" it get back but when i call service.performTokenRequest
i got a exception
Token Exchange failedNetwork error

3.just as you say if i use "com.googleusercontent.apps.862009479288-jbb6ei7ill6bk5lpda39mvqoc0psg29o" as my scheme,when i use api ,what should i set in redirecturi

@iainmcgin finally i use webapplication with redirecturl http://com.pi.pilot.gallery/google ，
it work ,but on some device ,
i can signin first time and get back to my app,
but when i signout and call performAuthorizationRequest again ,
chrome open and directly goto my redirecturi without select account
and show error in chrome :
com.pi.pilot.gallery 's server IP address could not found
dns_probe_finished_nxdomain/dns_probe_finished_bad_config

i use your demo get the same result

if i click more icon at right head ,select open in chrome, it got back with my last account info
