ACP connection errors should better handle ANSI codes

Bug description

There's some drama around my openshell right now. The ACP session on my sandbox returns an error containing ANSI codes, but that should be better handled, either rendered correctly or removed from the error box:

[31m�[0m code: 'The service is currently unavailable', message: "supervisor relay failed: code: 'The service is currently unavailable', message: "supervisor session not connected""

So this is not about finding why it fails, but how to better surface failures to the user.
