Is anyone working to catch illegal STR rentals aka AirBnbs?

It seems really easy to compare the permit GIS data to advertised addresses on services like AirBnb.

The benefit to our community would be more fair rental prices and fewer disrespectful parties. I know SF has a nonprofit really working to reign them in for many civic reasons.

Hi Nicholas, Maybe reach out to city government to identify a "client" to help spearhead the project. See mentions of AirBNB on City of Sacramento site at https://www.google.com/search?q=vacation+rental+licensing+site%3Acityofranchocordova.org&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#safe=off&q=airbnb+site:www.cityofsacramento.org (maybe Jeff Harris or Jay Schenirer?)

I will ask my city if this is on their radar (not that Rancho Cordova is a premier vacation destination)
