[Feature Request] Full Wildcard Support on Text Fields

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

Currently, a field needs to be mapped to be a keyword in order to match symbols in a wildcard query like /api/path/*.file.

Describe the solution you'd like

Text fields are able to be matched with symbols in a wildcard search. Not sure if this is possible due to punctuation being stripped during analysis.
