Is your feature request related to a problem?

Currently, the AWS Console does not have any references to the Migration Assistant, making it challenging for customers to discover and deploy the Migration Assistant easily. The lack of integration means customers must rely on separate documentation and processes, which can slow down their adoption and deployment of migration solutions.

What solution would you like?

Update the AWS Console to include references to the Migration Assistant in both the Solutions Guide and the Solutions deployment workflow. This would involve:

  1. Determining which CloudFormation templates should be linked from the AWS Console integration.
  2. Open-sourcing the AWS Solution CFN template source in the OpenSearch-Migrations GitHub repository.
  3. Adjusting the internal build process to enable AWS Solutions to pull the CFN templates from the open-source repository.
  4. Updating the AWS Solutions documentation to include references to this new integration.
  5. Updating the AWS Console interface to link to and reflect this new integration.

What alternatives have you considered?

  1. Direct Access via GitHub: Users could directly access and deploy the CFN templates from the GitHub repository, but this approach still requires additional manual steps and is not as discoverable.
  2. Solutions Landing Page: The AWS Solutions Landing page is helpful but may not always be discoverable.

Do you have any additional context?

This integration would provide a better user experience for customers looking to deploy the Migration Assistant.
