prometheus connector is missing metrics?

I setup a prometheus datasource and it is working but when using the search function i'm not seeing other metrics like what you get with node_exporter and mongodb_exporter. Am I misunderstanding how the functionality should work?

this same prometheus instance is confirmed to have those metrics per /graph queries

i just tried a PPL query (source = prometheus.mongodb_up) from the query workbench and got results so they are there
