It was nice to see you at WCB 2018.
I'm writing a new request for contact geometry. If possible, I'd like to ask you to add flexibility for ContactSphere in size. I tried a relative soft contact with ElasticFoundation force using ContactMesh definitions. However, I realized that contact thickness with ContactMesh geometry is limited and may not be suitable to express softer contacts. Only ContactSphere and ContactHalfSpace definitions consider tangential depth and allow soft contact expressions.
I once wished to ask to add more flexibility in contact thickness, but I thought it may be tough request... Alternatively, I'd like to use an ellipsoidal shaped contact geometry at least. In order to express ellipsoidal contact geometry, is it possible to ask you to add flexibility of size on ContactSphere? Now ContactSphere has and . But is only scale dimension. I'd like to ask to change scale dimension from to with x, y, z parameters.
Actually, I'd like to use OpenSim with rich contact problems. Another multibody simulation model for car occupant (MADYMO) would be a good example. They use ellipsoid bodies for contact geometry.
