Filter users by e-mail domain

On the /users page, the Name or Email filter searches for matches on the user’s entire e-mail address. If it could also filter on just the domain part of the e-mail address, an administrator would be able to find sockpuppets more easily in some cases. For example, it could filter on the domain as long as the input begins with an @.

I wonder how that would work with alias emails. I have 1 where the format is to write reciever_at_recieverdomain.com_sender@senderdomain.com to mask your actual email.

It isn’t foolproof. This is just one of several tools for identifying sockpuppets or other patterns of abuse.

It can't actually do that because it would require a table scan - the things it can search for are deliberately restricted to those which can be searched efficiently.

I see, so this feature would actually require indexing the domain separately? If it’s infeasible then we can close out the feature request.

It would need an extra index yes, which is not impossible but does make this more complex.

I'm not sure how useful it will be - mostly it will probably only help where somebody is using a personal domain.
