What happened?
According to some guides for the Feaster of Souls quests (which its incomplete) the fight against paleworm is pretty straightforward. There should be some Greed Worms, and eventually a Hunger Worm that you need to focus in order to move to the second stage of the boss, where theres a "Weak Spot" you can shot down in order to kill the boss properly. ALso theres no Hex mechanich (DoT) nor the necessity to use the lamp to take less damage.
