Fulltext search does not return relevant results

Looking for Africa on the Spanish Wikipedia I realize that in spite of the potential exact match the search result does not even return it on the first page.

Regarding this particular case, it looks like it can be fixed by showing a few title search results as a special starting section on the search results page (ending with a link to "More results from title search").

No and this the first thing to do: create a catalog of search scenarios (pattern+results) against a large ZIM like Wikipedia in English.

Once this created we would have a healthy case to discuss/implement solutions.
