Moving to Java 11

Java 8 is out of support and we can do more with Java 11+ so we are moving to Java 11 as minimum.

Better Java 17 ... the new switch is awesome. would like to use it in GWT.

Think, if it moves to Java 11 we will have the same discussion in a few years again. Therefore, let's take Java 17.

I totally agree, moving GWT to Java 17 would be a dream come true. GWT deserves it.

We are limited to the minimum of what GWT support, and with this we need to mention that GWT already compiles with Java 17 as long as you dont use any of the Java 17 features, and sio we do - Java 17 is my default on my machine for example -. and as for GWT it wont be too long before it actually start supporting Java 17 features.
