Description of issue

On upgrading my Homebrew brew upgrade I keep getting the error:
Unexpected method 'discontinued' called during caveats on Cask xmind8
I understand that it's discontinued, but this seems more like something is not correct in their cask. What is the best way to get rid of this error?

discontinued was something we used in casks prior to implementing deprecate! and disable! like we have for formulae. Whoever is maintaining the tap that holds that cask just needs to remove discontinued.

xmind8 was in the homebrew/cask-versions tap, and the tap is not used anymore. During the migration, xmind8 is deprecated and not moved I think. Can you run this command and show the outputs? brew tap

If you don't need xmind8, remove it and then you can update without error I guess.

I was getting this error "Error: Unexpected method 'discontinued' called during caveats on Cask spectacle.", and fixed with

rm -rf "$(brew --caskroom)/spectacle"
