Description of issue

Is it possible to pack GUI apps such as https://slicer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/getting_started.html#linux with Homebrew? I am pretty sure it is impossible, but I can not find why.

It's not a goal for homebrew, and it won't ship in Homebrew/core. But nothing stops people from making a tap and compiling it for themselves with homebrew.

So no conflicts with system level GUI libs?

There could be, it depends on your system, your homebrew configuration and the build system upstream configured. But a lot of things needed to build GUIs are in Homebrew.

My system is Linux, and Homebrew is configured by default, the upstream uses CMake. So you say try and see?
