Description of issue

Seems unixodbc version 2.3.13 is broken on Tahoe, or at least, when using with mssql driver (installed via homebrew). I would get a crash reporter on macOS Tahoe - I'm not sure if a crash report is helpful, also I don't get any console output at all, but let me know if any extra information could help diagnose the issue.

I managed to downgrade to the previous version, with Sequoia build -> https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/blob/984b2e726779aab5348ba4ab39538e5dd5eacd25/Formula/u/unixodbc.rb

==> Installing unixodbc from my/tap
==> Pouring unixodbc--2.3.12.arm64_sequoia.bottle.tar.gz
🍺  /opt/homebrew/Cellar/unixodbc/2.3.12: 48 files, 2.3MB

And it works. I have not tried any other combinations

I'm not sure if this is a unixodbc problem or a packaging/pre-built issue on Homebrew, or I guess could also be the mssql driver is not built/linked with new version correctly. But I hope posting here would at least help if anyone else is having the same issue and show a workaround.

There is at least one segfault bug in 2.3.13. You may want to check if that is related before creating a new issue:

• segfault when using with pyodbc lurcher/unixODBC#222
• lurcher/unixODBC@97add92

3. Run HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1 brew install --build-from-source --formula unixodbc
4. Try using unixodbc as usual and see if segfault is still here

I temporarily downgraded my unixodbc to the previous version. (which fixes my version)
But after doing the suggested steps it still segfaults with the same backtrace, so it appears to happen upstream.
I can see there is a .14-pre release, i will try to patch this locally and report back the outcome here

UPD: master branch has this commit that is not a part of v2.3.14pre tag lurcher/unixODBC@97add92
use this patch instead

Yes that fixes it, my connect script is now working, and my integration tests in my application are now running (and failing) successfully. But the segfaulting is gone for me.

Should be fixed by Homebrew/homebrew-core#246714, try to reinstall unixodbs
