Description of issue

It looks weird to me that installation (actually copying of some files, only 750M) of pgadmin4 takes so much time. is that OK. Other casks do pretty well

Because it is a .dmg file the system has to decompress the files inside which can take some time, macOS also runs some verifications check while the dmg is mounted. Have you tried completing the process manually to see how long it takes?
