Description of issue

I'm looking at reviving the formula for kyua since it was removed due to lack of activity in 9212dbc171b351adf7b8910a0711010510a7a9ab.

How do I get started, i.e., what documentation should I peruse, how do I contribute the changes back, etc (I'm looking for a "maintainer's guide" of sorts)?
