You could build your WSUS server maybe? |

I have never set up a WSUS server before. Thank you, I will look into it. Can parameters and GUI be provided to enter custom IP/Domain in Setup in the future? |

We don’t currently mirror updates - they come from the official download.windowsupdate.com. However I am doing some ongoing work on archiving them in the background, because we never know what will happen. Currently this is at 4TB, for all versions of Windows from 2000 SP3 to 8.1, Office XP and up, Visual Studio 2005 and up, etc. Windows 10/11 would be double or more of this. This also doesn’t include drivers yet, which are absolutely ginormous, even just in terms of the metadata about them. Getting 4TB out there is logistically kinda difficult as you can imagine, so I won’t be making that public unless Microsoft starts deleting old updates. Which I don’t expect to happen for now, because again 4TB is nothing compared to the drivers and Windows 10/11 updates, and the traffic cost to Microsoft is significantly cut down now thanks to stock 2000/XP/Vista installs being broken. (The cost would be fairly extreme for me though, and we’d need a lot more funding to run a public mirror.) I’d recommend WSUS at the moment to set up a local cache for yourself, maybe we can come up with a better tool in future, but this is the best one we have for now. To set a machine to use it, in

How much space does the Legacy Update server take up? Will the mirroring feature be added in the future?
If something like this happens, it would be very useful to me.
I would also like to use it locally on my own network. Sometimes the internet slows down a lot due to political problems in Turkiye.
I may be late reading the response because I am sick. Please keep the ticket open for 2 days. We can exchange ideas on this matter.
