hostname --fqdn missing in SMTP

Hi I got problem with 550 HELO, it not using the full FQDN just the domain?

SMTP ERROR: HELO command failed: 550 Bad HELO - Host impersonating domain name [xxxxx.lt]

Hi again! I got this feedback to fix it,
root@web:~# hostname --fqdn
web.xxxxx.lt

Hello, we added 78.xx.xxx.xxx IP address to whitelist, but it still use xxxx.lt address instead of FQDN type address like web.xxxxx.lt
so i dont now way it not using the full fqdn in the connection ?

This is my dev server IP. Where do you use it? :) It's not supposed to have FQDN at first place :)

Well I'm not sure what you are trying to do there. If just testing demo. Demo is on dev server and SMTP is not supposed to work there correctly even if you enter correct domain :)

Im on MY server, not a demo!! and i have a FQDN "web.xxxxxx.lt" but the smtp using only xxxxx.lt part of it so it not working good !
i getting 550 HELO problem
"Hello, yes, your scripts can use other hostname (not server hostname), when scripts connect to our SMTP server."

yes i did. but the LHC not using the server fqdn, so the mail server think its a spamer and reject the connection!
