I wondering if it's possible to connect an appliance to a database, not from database standalone in the appliance ?

Yes, external databases are supported. After you log in to the appliance, use the appliance_console and choose "Configure Database".

Hi everyone thanks a lot for your help, i've done documentation steps and everything was fine until i come back on the summary information form the appliance console and saw that the only thing change it's ManageIQ database and the region it's still 0, ve set 99. So i decided to check in my database and there is only two tables empty : arc_internal_metadata and schema_migration. The local database is still running.

This is normal ? I simply follow the documentation with Create Region in External Database and after it's done i've done Join Region in External Database with the same VM, i've got two success but it's seems like the connection it's half done.

Someone did ever saw something like that ??

Do you have any logs from the appliance_console run? Create Region in External Database should have created the database and migrated it. Not sure why it's only showing a new db but not migrated.
