IP address not saving after reboot

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to deploy our manage IQ via vsphere ova template; the wizard is straightforward, but there's no IP static input only vlan selection.

now I tried reading the documentation but there's really no real step on the IP configuration.

this is the ova https://releases.manageiq.org/manageiq-vsphere-radjabov-1.ova

and I tried doing the following command to change the ips;

nmtui
nmcli modify

the connection works after the nmcli / nmtui modify command
but for some reason after I reboot the OS, it clears my IP. but isee the manage iq summary that the DNS have been saved,
I cannot set the LAN to up because of an error too

I've also tried configuring first the manageiq but still the same (thinking maybe it needs to have a database first)

Try disabling cloud-init https://cloudinit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howto/disable_cloud_init.html

Thank you for this, i was under the impression that the nmcli config file is changed by the cloud-init service under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and not to be messed with.
