Update Kernel auf Proxmox schlägt immer fehl

Hi,

seid einigen Versionen kann ich unter Proxmox 9.1.6 und Trixie den Kernel von Pivccu nicht aktualisieren.
Das zieht sich schon sie Anfang 2026.
Leider kann ich mit den Fehlermeldungen nicht viel anfangen. Auch eine Neuinstallation von OpenCCU hat leider nicht geholfen.

Helfen kann ich hier nicht.
Die Frage die sich mir stellt. Warum nimmst du unter Proxmox den LXC anstatt einer VM?
Mit der VM wärst du völlig unabhängig von den Host-Kernelmodulen.

Genau so ist es! Für eine Kompatibilität zu Kernel 6.17.x (welcher in aktuelle. Proxmox Versionen zum Einsatz kommt) und höher müsste @alexreinert diesen PR entsprechend integrieren und dann eine neue Version seiner pivccu-modules kernel Module releasen, dann wäre dieses Problem weg. Im Rahmen von OpenCCU können wir hier leider wenig dagegen tun.

Ich schließe mich aber auch @Baxxy13 an: Best Practice wäre ohnehin OpenCCU unter Proxmox als vollwertige VM zu installieren und nur für ausgewählte Spezialfälle es als LXC Container unter Proxmox zu betreiben.

Ich hab OpenCCU gemäß Anleitung mit dem Skript als vollwertige VM installiert.
Früher hatte ich PiVCCU am laufen, daher kam mir die Idee auch dort nach Lösungen zu suchen.

Warum stehen dann in meinem Log PiVCCU drinnen? Jetzt bin ich selbst verwirrt.

Wie vorher auch läuft das als VM und ich bekomme obige Fehlermeldungen, wenn ich am Proxmox Kernel aktualisiere.

Nun, weil du eben mal irgendwann vorher OpenCCU als LXC Container installieren lassen hast und damit Modifikationen an deinem Proxmox-System vorgenommen worden sind und das führt jetzt (mit neuerer Proxmox/Kernel version) zu genau diesen Problemen.

Das beste wäre du führst mal die uninstall methode aus um sicherzustellen das die pivccu kernel module vom Proxmox System entfernt werden wenn du definitiv OpenCCU nicht als CT/LXC-Container laufen lassen willst. Siehe:

Ich hab tatsächlich mal probiert OpenCCU als LXC Container laufen zu lassen und danach nur den Container gelöscht nicht aber die Deinstallation laufen lassen.
Kaum macht man es richtig, schon funktioniert es!
