How to enable NavigationHelper.UseLegacyFormat ?

In 3.0.1, there's a check:

public static bool UseLegacyFormat()
    {
        return AppContext.TryGetSwitch(NavigationConstants.LegacyAdminMenuNavigationSwitchKey, out var enable) && enable;
    }

However I can't find any documentation on how to switch between formats. Apologies if I have missed this.

I'm not sure why you need to use UseLegacyFormat. This should be removed in the upcoming releases

Because some of our custom adminmenus that have been created before the change expect Configuration in the menu list. since it is now removed, these menus are not added. Using legacy format ensures these still work
