If the external-download setting is enabled but no download button appears, the setting alone may not be enough to create a button. The button is normally shown only when the selected app/version or patch has an external-download target available. I would check this in order:
If the app is a supported target but the button is still absent, report the Manager version, app package/version, patch version, Android version, and a screenshot of the enabled setting. A screenshot of the button area alone does not show whether the target has an external download configured. Also be careful with third-party APK links. An external-download feature should display the source, checksum/signature expectations, and the exact compatibility reason; enabling a generic download button for arbitrary files would make the UX less safe. |
