YouTube shorts have adds [20.40.45]

Question

YouTube Shorts contain adds in version 20.40.45.
Every 2nd or 3rd short is an add.
There is also a 4month old reddit post about it, where you can see, that people are having this issue for longer time now.

My question is, if the devs know about it and if there is a solution in sight.
Or is that something that only hits some people and not others. I tried installing an older version, but it didnt really work either. Older patch versions are not available anymore.
