Replace in text

First, let me say I have been using Trilium on Linux Ubuntu for about a year now and I can't see myself going to back to any other note-taker, to-do, or personal-planner app and I think I've tried them all! Do the developers have any plans to add a "replace in text" to the "find in text" feature? It's one of the things I use a lot in the other app I keep, Cherry Tree and one of the very few things I miss in Trilium.

Hi, this is one of the things which seem simple and obvious, but unfortunately it's not exactly easy to do in the web platform.

However, it is something I would like to have supported, this needs to be implemented separately for:

• text notes using (3rd party) https://github.com/antoniolucasnobar/ckeditor5-find-replace
• code notes - code mirror has a (1st party) plugin for that

I didn't actually know about the CKEditor plugin until now that I google around a bit. So with that I will probably prioritize this.

Zadam has added a replace in text. You access it through clicking on the paragraph in the CK editor. First you indicate what you want it to find. If it finds it, you can add the replace text.

Indeed, not as straightforward as a CTRL+F, but does the job.

As a small sidenote:
I have tried tried QOwnNotes, Logseq, Joplin and Trilium so far.
I must say that trilium is the most enjoyable experience.
I've just finished setting up my trilium server, I'm loving it ;)
Apart from a missing android app it really meets all my needs so far.

Now we only have Trilium's search bar which doesn't have replace.

If it's important, feel free to open a feature request.

@fbd-ss, if you press the menu button to the right of the note title and select Search in note, does it work?

@eliandoran yes, see image. But ctrl-f does not have the same effect.

@fbd-ss , go to Options -> Keyboard Shortcuts and check the shortcut for Find in text.

Try assigning it to something else if it's already Ctrl+F.
