Embed or link to a note inside a canvas

Hey all, haven't had much luck finding the answer.

As the title says, is there a way to create a link to a note from within a Canvas?
I'm working out a bit of a flowchart and would like to be able to link to code notes outside of the canvas

You can link to notes inside a Canvas in Trilium by dragging a note from the tree into the canvas—this creates a text element with a clickable link to that note and its name by default. If you know the internal address of a note, you can also manually create a link using the format #root/NOTE_ID, which works but is a bit clunky. Both methods will show a preview and let you jump to the linked note. There isn’t a dedicated UI for embedding notes directly, but these workarounds are currently supported. For flowcharting with notes as nodes, you might also want to check out the "Relation Map" note type, though it only supports notes as nodes, not arbitrary elements. Details here.

The drag & drop doesn't work, but the manual copy link, and insert in a link works.

Copy the note path to the clipboard (of the note to be linked), create an object in the Canvas and add the link to the object

Having a drag & drop would be simple & clean
