Not sure if this is a bug or a feature. I would expect different behaviour.
I have a calendar wich uses "week notes", these are calendar views of the week itself. When adding a new item in the calendar, the notes get added under the weeknote. I would expect that the new note gets added under the corresponding daynote. The same happens if you set the daynote as a calendar view and add a new item on a different day. It get added under the active daynote It does makes sense on some level, but in my mind it would be more logical to add it to the right day...
