How to enter @ symbol?

Hi all,

I'm feeling really stupid and I'm fully prepared to being ridiculed because I haven't seen the obvious (or searched in the right place)...

I'm running version 0.102.2. I'm using the official container image. I'm in a Chrome browser on macOS

Subject basically says it all - I'm unable to enter an @ sign. Everytime I try, the label dialog opens. I haven't found a way to enter an @ sign (apart from copy/pasting from somewhere else.

I know there must be an obvious way I'm currently to ignorant to see :-O

Just insert a @ and then press ESC

Hi,

believe me I have tried ESC - quite a lot. Unfortunately nothing happens if I press ESC.

As this is apparently what should happen, maybe it's due to my setup:

• Trililum 0.102.2, official container image
• macOS 26.4.1
• German locale + keyboard layout (if this might matter?!?)
• I tried it with Chrome 147.0.7727.102, Arc 1.144.0 and Firefox 148.0.2

All with the same result:

• I press @
• Label dialog opens
• I press ESC
• Nothing happens, label dialog still open
• Can only close label dialog with the x button
• But still no @ in the editor

There is also an option to turn this feature off in Options / Text.

Thanks, but I can not find "Options / Text", only thing I have is "Options / Text Notes" and I haven't found anything related to @ or the label dialog for that matter.

Did you enter the @ with Option + L? It's possibily a shortcut conflict.
Go to the options in Trilium and find the shortcut for addNewLabel or add new label which is Alt + L, delete it.

That was it! In fact on German Mac keyboards, @ is entered by pressing Option + L. I have removed the shortcut and I'm happily typing @-symbols now :-)
