Changing fonts in the new spreadsheets

So,

Playing with the new spreadsheet.

Imported a spreadsheet from Excel. The formatting is hit and miss regarding fonts.

Looking around, I can find a way to set cell fonts. I can set size, but not type.

Any pointers are appreciated

Font family/type selection is intentionally disabled in Trilium's spreadsheet implementation [1]. The spreadsheet uses the Univer library which renders via canvas rather than standard HTML/CSS, which makes traditional font customization more complex [2].

The default font for all spreadsheet cells is pulled from the --detail-font-family CSS variable [3], so you can change the overall spreadsheet font by adjusting that variable in your theme — but per-cell font family selection isn't currently exposed.

If you need font control for printing/exporting, there's a CSS variable workaround using --print-font-family [4].

So unfortunately, setting different font types per cell isn't supported at this time — it's a known limitation of the current canvas-based approach rather than something you're missing in the UI.

That's very curious as there are obviously at least three different fonts in my spreadsheet.

Frankly this omission makes the new spreadsheet type less than useful.
