How do I get started with Unleash for a Chrome extension?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to integrate the unleash using CDN as well as with client sdk for chrome extension. The extension is in webpack setup.

I want to know about "How to integrate Unleash feature flags with other Chrome extension APIs?".

Please let me know if you have already tried it out and if it worked for you or not.

Hi @saurabhck12 we have this created by one of the engineers working at Unleash (@nunogois): https://github.com/nunogois/unleash-bex

Might be a good starting point or you might also want to contribute to it.

@gastonfournier @nunogois I couldn't find a way to integrate or use Unleash as a CDN in my Chrome extension app. I was trying to retrieve the feature flags enabled for my Chrome extension from background.js only.

Hi @saurabhck12 integrating with Unleash for your use case should be done connecting to an Unleash server (https://docs.getunleash.io/using-unleash/deploy/getting-started) or edge instance (https://docs.getunleash.io/reference/unleash-edge/deploying) using the Frontend API which will return only enabled flags based on the provided context
