peer status via api

Is it possible to get a peer status via api? I do see the green light in the gui, but i'm trying to create some custom monitoring solutions and was hoping to find like /api/peerstatus/iphone

It took me a long time but i found the endpoint however there is no documentation around it. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on it.

/getWireguardConfigurationInfo?configurationName=wg0

This will show all of the peers, is that how the green dot on the gui is calculated to be active status?

Hi! Sorry for the late response. Yes, that would be how the frontend calculate active state of each peer. You should see a status property in the peer object.

thanks! I noticed the handshake timeout seems to be around 00:02:00 minutes or 120 seconds. is that accurate? I created a toy that notifies me when a user disconnects or has become inactive and i noticed this behavior. I was hoping i could query a single peer but i think this method works fine. take a look if you want for future ideas. I'd love to see a "job" in wgdashboard that would send an email notification on handshake, packets, etc.

I'm not so sure if there's an accurate handskake timeout (maybe there is), and from my observation, 120 sec is a acceptable time to check if the peer is still connected. But over the time some users said it should be longer, maybe 180 secs so we can be sure, and I'm considering to change it in the new release.
